Rental Requirements - Please Read
**Located ON Mission Bay, no towing - A legal jet ski rental** **Closest to the full speed zone** You don't want to drive 5mph for 30 minutes of your rental getting to and from the 5mph zone to the full speed zone! We have the closest locations on Mission Bay to the full speed zone! The top picture shows how close AWS is to the full speed zone (yellow bubble with star - purple line) compared to other rental companies, shown below. Did you know that we are one of a handful of locations on Mission Bay that are contracted with the City to legally rent jet skis on Mission Bay. If you rent from someone that doesn't have a physical storefront location on the bay, it is an illegal rental that the customer can be cited for, municipal code 63.20.20. In addition, SDPD is impounding jet skis and boats of illegal rentals. |
Why Rent From Us? |
Your time is valuable! Don't waste it towing a jet ski or spending 20+ minutes in the 5mph zone. When you rent from Adventure Water Sports, we are located right on Mission Bay so you just hop on and go! Also, our two locations are the closest to the full speed zone. Other rental companies are located deep in the 5mph zone where you spend a good portion of your rental driving 5mph rather then full speed. If you are renting from a 'company' that does not have a physical store location on the bay, that person is breaking the law. Don't be fooled by the illegal rentals on Mission Bay. If they don't have a physical storefront and a lease agreement with the City of San Diego, it is an illegal rental. The ski can be impounded while the renter is on it and the renter can be cited.

Mission Bay |
Mission Bay was man made in from the 1940's-1960's and was designated as an aquatic playground in San Diego. Mission Bay Park covers 4200 acres in roughly equal parts of land and water. A network of waterways, inlets and islets make the best way to explore Mission Bay by boat, wave runner, stand up paddle board and kayak. Most of its 27 miles of meandering shoreline are sandy beaches. The paramount symbol of watery fun in Mission Bay is the Sea World Adventure Park in the southeast quadrant of the park. At Fiesta Island and Leisure Lagoon in the east bay, the names say it all, while it's easy to imagine what to expect at places like Sail Bay and Mariners Cove on the west end. There's always something happening in Mission Bay, from waterskiing and wakeboarding to sailing and swimming.
Adventure Water Sports has been offering water sports rentals on Mission Bay since 1995! |
